Job Description
• Full-time, on-site Interrelated Special Education Teacher position with Atlanta Public Schools in Atlanta, GA, providing face-to-face instruction in the school building.
• Teaches students with learning disabilities, mild intellectual disabilities, and/or emotional behavioral disorders using differentiated instruction, lectures, discussions, visual aids, assessments, tutoring, and classroom activities.
• Requires an SRT4 Certification in Special Education General Curriculum P-12 or related field, or passing the GACE Special Education General Curriculum and completing the GACE Ethics Program Entry Assessment.
• Requires a Bachelor's Degree with at least a 2.5 GPA; work experience is gained through education and certification/license requirements.
• Maintains student records, classroom discipline and sanitation, parent communications, testing compliance, academic programs, student transitions, and professional development; compensation is on the Atlanta Public Schools T4 Bachelor–T7 Doctorate salary schedule for a 202-day work year.
