Job Description

• Deliver rigorous, effective high school World History instruction using inquiry, evidence-based reasoning, state standards, curriculum, lesson plans, and formative assessments.
• Track and analyze student data to set goals, inform short- and long-term instructional decisions, provide real-time feedback, and improve academic performance.
• Maintain an organized, focused, and positive learning environment while implementing student management policies and differentiating instruction for Multilingual and Diverse Learners.
• Establish strong communication with families, attend open houses and family conferences, participate in team meetings and professional development, and arrive at school by 8:10 a.m.
• Requires a valid Indiana teaching license or an active reciprocity process for a valid out-of-state license, a Bachelor’s degree in history or a related field, and passing a legally required criminal background check; 2–5 years of urban public-school teaching and public high-school experience are preferred.
