Job Description

• Part-time temporary Academic Tutor supporting currently enrolled IllinoisCOM medical students through individual and group virtual tutoring.
• Clarify course concepts, explain processes, facilitate problem-solving, and apply study techniques aligned with course objectives, approved materials, and academic-integrity expectations.
• Complete tutor training, prepare and facilitate sessions, document attendance and services in the designated database system, and protect examination, student, and course-material confidentiality.
• Must be a second-, third-, or fourth-year student in good standing at an accredited MD- or DO-granting medical school, with demonstrated mastery of tutoring subject areas; prior tutoring, teaching, facilitation, or academic-support experience preferred.
• Remote role typically assigned 2 to 10 hours per week; applicants should generally be available at least two days per week.
