Academic Writing Part-Time Instructor Pool 2026-2027

Job Description

• The University of Tampa seeks part-time, on-campus, in-person Academic Writing instructors in Tampa, FL, for one or two 4-hour college-level courses per semester.
• Develop individual syllabi with meeting times and specific reading and writing assignments within departmental guidelines and the program mission.
• Manage the online/paperwork grading system and teach assignments scheduled term-by-term across fall, spring, and summer.
• Requires college-level academic writing teaching experience and, at minimum, a Master's Degree in English or TESOL, or an MFA in Writing; a Ph.D. is preferred.
• Finalists may be required to submit to a criminal background check; applications are accepted continuously for this part-time instructor pool.
