Job Description

• Accounts Payable Specialist supporting a busy accounting team in Birmingham, AL, in a structured on-site office setting.
• Long-term contract role paying $24–$26/hr; requires experience managing high invoice volume with accuracy, organization, and productivity during peak periods.
• Review, code, enter, and process vendor invoices; verify coding and documentation; and maintain timely payment schedules.
• Support ACH transactions and check runs, resolve discrepancies with the Controller and accounting staff, and keep vendor payables current.
• Use JD Edwards, Perceptive, Integra, or similar accounting platforms; no degree is mentioned or required.
