Advanced Social Worker - Behavioral Health - Maryview Medical Center

Job Description

• Provide direct behavioral health patient care on an adult psychiatric unit at Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA, in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Deliver individual, family, and group psychotherapy in ambulatory and hospital outpatient settings, with potential clinical and administrative supervision duties.
• Complete psychosocial assessments, PASRR screenings, discharge planning, post-discharge calls, PHQ-9, C-SSRS, and Social Determinants of Health screenings.
• Apply knowledge of guardianships, advanced directives, power of attorney, involuntary processes, and community resources while collaborating with patients and community providers.
• Requires an MSW or Master of Science in Social Administration, a Social Worker license in the state of practice, and 2 years of experience in healthcare, social services, or human services; LISW or LCSW preferred.
