Advanced Social Worker - Behavioral Health - Maryview Medical Center

Job Description

• Provides direct behavioral-health patient care in an adult psychiatric unit under the guidance of a designated healthcare professional and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Delivers individual, family, and group psychotherapy in ambulatory and hospital outpatient settings; may provide clinical and administrative supervision.
• Performs psychosocial assessments, PASRR completion, discharge planning, and post-discharge calls.
• Must hold a Master of Social Work or Master of Science in Social Administration and be licensed as a Social Worker in the state of practice; LISW or LCSW is preferred.
• Requires 2 years of experience in a healthcare, social services, or human services setting; full-time position in Portsmouth, VA.
