Job Description

• Full-time AI Prompt Engineer role with CACI in Ashburn, VA, supporting a CBP/DHS federal border-security technology program; local travel up to 10%.
• Design, test, refine, and optimize prompts for LLMs and generative AI models, including support for fine-tuning and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Requires U.S. citizenship, successful CBP background investigation, a bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, 0–3 years of software development experience, and 1+ year working with LLMs or generative AI.
• Requires Python or JavaScript/TypeScript experience and familiarity with few-shot prompting, chain-of-thought, structured outputs, and function calling; salary range is $53,100–$106,300.
