Job Description
• Full-time Alternative Classroom Teacher position with Clay County Schools in Clay, WV; work mode is not specified.
• Develop and deliver differentiated, trauma-informed instruction aligned with state standards and students’ academic and emotional needs.
• Provide behavioral and mental health support using evidence-based behavior management, de-escalation techniques, individualized behavior intervention plans, and data-driven progress monitoring.
• Collaborate with families, administrators, counselors, social workers, behavior specialists, and mental health professionals, including through IEP and 504 plan reviews.
• Requires elementary education certification; special education certification is preferred. Permit-eligible teachers may be considered and must complete at least six (6) certification hours and remain through the 2026-2027 School Year.
