Job Description

• Human Intuition is hiring a full-time Applied Researcher focused on reinforcement learning and AI agents in New York, NY; work mode is not specified.
• Research how agents acquire judgment for consequential, multi-step business workflows using demonstrations, verifiable outcomes, and feedback.
• Build task environments and agent harnesses; investigate supervised fine-tuning, reinforcement learning, reward design, curricula, tool use, memory, planning, recovery, and long-horizon task completion.
• Design and evaluate controlled experiments, testing for shortcuts, reward exploitation, poor generalization, benchmark leakage, and reliable transfer to representative workflows.
• Requires strong machine learning fundamentals, hands-on model training or post-training experience, strong Python, practical familiarity with a modern deep learning framework, experiment design and debugging ability, technical writing, and evidence of original technical work; useful experience includes reinforcement learning, imitation learning, reward modeling, agent memory, distributed training, or learning from operational traces.
