Assistant Director, Learning Design and Innovation

Job Description

• Lead strategic and operational learning experience design, learning innovation, and educational media production across the University of Pittsburgh Health Sciences.
• Partner with faculty and academic leaders on curriculum development, instructional design, accessibility, educational technology, and emerging learning tools.
• Supervise managers, team leads, and professional staff while managing staffing, budgets, resources, vendor relationships, and service standards.
• Manage complex IT-related educational initiatives, including needs assessments, cost/benefit analyses, project plans, service evaluation, and technology adoption.
• Requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and seven years of progressively responsible experience; the posting also lists five years as the minimum and permits qualifying education/experience substitution. Hybrid Pittsburgh schedule with three days on campus and two remote.
