Job Description

• On-site, full-time Assistant Manager role at Petco’s Deerfield Beach, FL Pet Care Center, supporting the General Manager and leading retail operations.
• Requires 2+ years of retail experience, including supervisory or management experience, plus proven team leadership, coaching, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Leads animal care standards, customer service, sales and operational goals, inventory control, merchandising, labor efficiency, and store execution.
• Supports hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance management, accountability, and development of store partners.
• Requires proficiency with point-of-sale systems and Microsoft Office, flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds; limited travel may be required.
