Job Description
• Full-time, 9-month academic-year, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience at the University of Massachusetts Amherst in Amherst, MA.
• Develop a vibrant, active, externally funded research program focused on molecular and cellular mechanisms of brain development, aging, or neurological disorders.
• Apply molecular, biochemical, genetic, and cellular approaches to investigate the nervous system and its translation to human health and disease, complementing strengths in synapse biology, learning and memory, and neurodegeneration.
• Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, contribute departmental and college service, collaborate across the CNS community and campus, and support Dean’s strategic priorities.
• Requires a Ph.D. or equivalent in Life Sciences or a related field with relevant post-doctoral experience; salary range is $79,350–$125,349.
