Associate Attorney (Insurance Defense)

Job Description

• Manage a diverse docket of insurance defense matters from intake through resolution in Albuquerque, NM, working directly with carrier clients.
• Handle general liability, auto liability, professional liability, premises liability, construction defect, and related claims.
• Conduct legal research, draft litigation documents, take and defend depositions, and attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Communicate case strategy, status, budgets, and litigation developments to carrier clients while complying with carrier guidelines and billing protocols.
• Requires a J.D. from an accredited law school, an active bar license, and 3+ years of civil litigation experience focused primarily on insurance defense.
• Full-time role offering $110,000–$145,000 annually based on experience, plus a performance and collections-based bonus opportunity.
