Associate Cybersecurity Analyst - Junior (Local Candidates)

Job Description

• Junior cybersecurity analyst role supporting a 24x7x365 global security operations center from Ashburn, VA, with at least 3 days in office and 12-hour shifts.
• Manage cybersecurity incidents through identification, containment, eradication, root-cause analysis, impact assessment, and detailed documentation.
• Conduct proactive threat hunting and develop/refine detection rules using SIEM, AV, WAF, IDS, NetFlow, packet analysis, and endpoint detection and response tools.
• Build and maintain incident response playbooks and runbooks, identify process improvements, and support cybersecurity projects in an electronic payments environment.
• Requires a Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience, enterprise incident response or SOC experience, cybersecurity/network defense experience, and GenAI and agent automation experience; CISSP, GCIH, GCIA, GCED, GCFA, or CySA+ certifications are a plus.
• Full-time position paying $84,500-$131,400 USD/year; requires 5-10% travel and may require scheduled holiday/weekend coverage.
