Associate SOC Analyst

Job Description

• Fully remote, full-time Associate SOC Analyst role with UltraViolet Cyber, headquartered in McLean, Virginia.
• Monitor logs, network traffic, and security alerts; triage, investigate, respond to, and escalate incidents using SIEM platforms and documented procedures.
• Execute and analyze vulnerability scans, research emerging threats, maintain detection capabilities, and prepare incident reports with remediation recommendations.
• Requires U.S. citizenship, 0–2 years of operational or technical experience, networking and Windows/Linux knowledge, and familiarity with cybersecurity monitoring, SIEM tools, and threat landscapes.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, or GIAC GSEC; Python/PowerShell and ticketing-system experience. Work operates 24x7x365 and may include rotating shifts.
