Aviation Planner - Emerging Technologies/AAM

Job Description

• Supports Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) leadership and HNTB with emerging aviation initiatives involving Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and transportation innovation programs.
• Coordinates stakeholders across government agencies, industry partners, airports, academic institutions, and technology providers; supports workshops, demonstrations, special events, and public processes.
• Researches and analyzes planning data using GIS, traffic, or safety software; develops recommendations, planning alternatives, maps, exhibits, reports, studies, and environmental documents.
• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Engineering, or a related field plus 4 years of related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience; a Master's degree and PE, EIT, AICP, or PTP are preferred.
• Regularly travels throughout Florida, including to the SunTrax Research and Development Facility, with occasional national travel; full-time regular position available in Atlanta, GA and listed Florida locations.
