Job Description
• Coordinate and continuously improve Central Washington University's Aviation Safety Management System, including safety policy, risk management, assurance, promotion, reporting, documentation, audits, and corrective actions.
• Monitor FAA regulations, Part 141 flight training operations, safety performance indicators, hazards, incidents, and operational trends; support investigations and risk-reduction recommendations.
• Develop and deliver safety training, onboarding, safety meetings, emergency response exercises, and workplace hazard-prevention programs for aviation personnel and students.
• Lead aviation safety communications, marketing, outreach, digital content, newsletters, recruitment materials, and official social media activity.
• Requires four years of progressively responsible related experience or a qualifying bachelor's degree; knowledge of FAA regulations, SMS, and Part 141 operations; full-time, on-site work in Ellensburg, WA; salary of $45,924-$61,332 annually.
