Job Description
• Aviation Safety Technician supporting Aviation Safety Inspectors and the public through the Denver Flight Standards District Office in Watkins, CO.
• Performs or assists with FAA certification, surveillance, and investigation duties involving research and evaluation under current FAA safety directives/orders.
• Requires at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FG/GS-7 for FG-8 or FV-E/GS-/FG-8 for FG-9, including practical aviation operations and related technical, analytical, database, reporting, and recommendation experience.
• Requires aviation safety data gathering and compilation experience plus assistance with investigations involving complaints, occurrences, incidents, accidents, or violations.
• Full-time OTHER position; education is not applicable; compensation is $62,308/year.
