AVP, Technology & Cyber Risk Management US

Job Description

• Leads second-line technology and cyber risk oversight for Sun Life’s US business group in Kansas City, MO, with responsibility for proactive challenge of initiatives, processes, controls, incidents, emerging risks, and risk posture.
• Develops and maintains the independent oversight program; challenges policies, standards, RCSAs, KRIs, significant incidents, OREs, and compliance indicators.
• Leads and continuously improves the US technology and cyber risk program, including independent assessment of risk-management processes and strategy for evolving regulatory expectations, digital engineering, and emerging business models.
• Delivers quarterly and annual risk reporting to operational risk, compliance, risk review, and regional risk committees, while supporting the US Business Group Chief Risk Officer.
• Requires a university degree and professional designation, more than 10 years of relevant experience or equivalent, and a certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or ITIL; salary is $166,600–$266,600 plus discretionary annual incentive eligibility.
