AWS Cloud Security Engineer- Remote

Job Description

• Remote, full-time AWS Cloud Security Engineer II role with Boston Medical Center Health System’s Information Technology department, supporting public-cloud security strategy in a healthcare environment.
• Design, implement, manage, and support AWS cloud security policies, services, projects, firewalls, DLP, vulnerability scanning, incident-response playbooks, and security standards.
• Provide architectural guidance and security reviews aligned with HIPAA, NIST, and CIS; coordinate remediation of vulnerabilities and support compliant, secure, and cost-effective AWS solutions.
• Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 3+ years managing public-cloud information security, 4+ years in information security, 7+ years in IT, and AWS Architect Associate or Professional certification.
• Requires strong AWS expertise across GuardDuty, Security Hub, Macie, Inspector, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, IaC, networking, serverless architecture, and migration of mission-critical applications to AWS; salary range is $89,500.00-$130,000.00.
