Job Description
• Backend Engineer role supporting secure, scalable, high-performing services for mobile and online banking applications.
• Hybrid contract position based in Vienna, VA or Pensacola, FL; no security clearance required; pay is $60–$65 per hour.
• Design, develop, test, integrate, deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain Java/Spring Boot backend applications, REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Requires strong professional Java backend experience, Java 17+ preferred, enterprise Java, Spring, REST, automated testing, Git/CI/CD, SQL, relational databases, and scalable application design.
• Preferred banking or financial-services experience, Agile/Scrum experience, Azure, Kafka, cloud-native architecture, and a bachelor's degree in a related technical field; equivalent professional experience may substitute for education.
