Bioinformatics Analyst I - Part Time

Job Description

• Part-time Bioinformatics Analyst I supporting cancer, immunotherapy, clinical-trial, and biomedical research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle, WA; most work requires on-campus presence.
• Analyze clinical-trial and high-dimensional biomarker data using statistics, bioinformatics, machine learning, and computational biology methods.
• Develop statistical software such as R Shiny tools, apply appropriate coding and methods, and create customized PCA, volcano, and Circos visualizations.
• Requires a BS in Statistics, Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, or equivalent education; 0–2 years of relevant bioinformatics experience; and proficiency in Python, R, or another modern programming language.
• Preferred qualifications include an MS, shell scripting, fluency in R and Python, Bioconductor and ggplot experience, and strong communication, numeracy, literacy, and organizational skills; pay is $33.42–$50.12/hr.
