Job Description
• On-site Biology Staff Instructor III role at Elizabethtown Community & Technical College in Elizabethtown, KY, supporting the Biology and Medical Laboratory Technician lab within the Biological Science Division.
• Coordinates lab schedules and activities, assists faculty with student instruction and lab safety, and oversees temporary workers/tutors.
• Grows microbial cultures; prepares microbiological media, reagents, and stock cultures; operates, cleans, and calibrates laboratory equipment; and autoclaves microbiological waste.
• Manages laboratory supplies, equipment procurement, repairs, hazardous-material storage and disposal, and SDS documentation in accordance with state and federal guidelines and lab manuals.
• Requires an Associate’s degree in Science with strong Biology and Chemistry coursework plus three years of related experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Biology plus one year of related experience; salary is $48,168 for a 12-month contract.
