Job Description

• Travelers is hiring a Business Insurance Underwriting Professional Development Program intern in Melville, NY; work mode is not specified.
• Complete a 10-week internship running from early June to mid-August focused on commercial insurance underwriting and the property and casualty insurance industry.
• Evaluate insurance risk and pricing concepts through training, territorial risk assessments, business process analysis, and other manager-assigned projects.
• Use analytical and artificial intelligence tools, apply critical thinking to assess AI-assisted output quality and accuracy, and present findings to local leadership.
• Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer now and in the future; Travelers does not sponsor H-1B, TN, or Forms I-983/STEM OPT for this role.
• Requires pursuing or having obtained a Bachelor’s degree; preferred GPA is 3.0 or above; compensation is $25.00–$26.00/hr.
