Job Description
• Operate grapple, knuckle boom, log loader, or hydraulic grapple trucks with a Class A CDL in an outdoor recycling yard environment in Birmingham, AL.
• Pick up railroad ties and other wood, remove site debris, and load trucks or rail cars.
• Operate a chainsaw and perform basic mechanical repairs, including changing hydraulic hoses, greasing, lubrication, and safety walk-around inspections.
• Complete daily paperwork accurately and use a smartphone, GPS, and Electronic Logging Device.
• Requires hands-on grapple/log-loader experience, a valid driver's license and CDL Class A, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, pass background and drug/alcohol testing, and work long hours in all weather conditions.
• Full-time Monday-Friday daytime schedule; $25-$30/hr based on experience; in-state applicants only with no relocation assistance.
