Job Description

• Full-time Certified Medical Assistant role in Duke Health’s PREOPSCREENING clinic in Durham, NC; clinic-based/on-site healthcare work with Monday–Friday 7:30 AM–6:00 PM, four 10-hour shifts per week.
• Provide direct patient care and administrative support, including histories, vital signs, specimen collection, basic laboratory testing, blood draws, EKGs, patient education, and medical-record maintenance.
• High school diploma or GED required; an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred, and CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited training is strongly preferred for Levels II–III.
• Experience ranges from none for Level I to at least 1 year for Level II and at least 3 years for Level III; 1 year of experience is provided for an Associate degree in Medical Assisting.
• AAMA, AMT, NHA-CCMA, NCMA, or ARMA certification and BLS are required; a $7,500 commitment bonus is offered.
