Certified Respiratory Therapist

Job Description

• Provide assessment, treatment, monitoring, and patient-focused respiratory care for acute and chronic cardiopulmonary disorders in Rapid City, SD.
• Initiate and conduct provider-ordered therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, including medical gas and aerosol therapies, pulmonary function testing, specimen collection, and physiologic monitoring.
• Manage mechanical ventilation, life-support systems, artificial and natural airways, CPR, emergency procedures, and invasive/non-invasive procedures.
• Document patient information, communicate with the healthcare team, calibrate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment, and develop or modify treatment plans under approved protocols and orders.
• Requires South Dakota RCP certification, NBRC CRT certification, and AHA BLS certification within 60 days of hire or transfer; a Bachelor’s in Health Sciences is preferred. PRN role with a starting pay range of $28.26–$35.33.
