Chess Instructor | Fall

Job Description

• Part-time, on-site Chess Instructor role teaching after-school enrichment classes at local schools in Bend, OR.
• Lead interactive chess classes for 10–15 elementary students, teaching fundamentals, strategy, tactics, sportsmanship, problem-solving, creativity, and critical thinking.
• Use a structured curriculum, manage classroom behavior, supervise students under school safety protocols, and travel between assigned school locations.
• Requires experience working with groups of children, strong chess fundamentals, reliable transportation, punctuality, time-management skills, and adherence to school safety policies.
• Pays $50–$75 per class; teach 1–5 classes per week, with weekday afternoon availability and class start times specified as 6:00–7:00 PM; candidates must reside in Bend or relocate at their own expense.
