Clinical Lab Scientist Per Diem

Job Description

• Perform specialized medical laboratory testing in the Microbiology department on a per-diem, day-shift schedule of 8 hours.
• Calibrate instruments, assess equipment and test accuracy, verify reproducibility, and maintain quality control.
• Interpret hematological, biochemical, serological, and microbiologic results; prepare and dispense blood products as needed.
• Maintain documentation and recording systems, perform equipment maintenance and adjustment, and prepare complex reagents.
• Assist with training new technologists, direct non-licensed laboratory personnel under applicable California professional code, and communicate accurate results to clinical personnel.
• Pay is $60/hr; placement may reflect relevant experience and qualifications, with possible shift differentials, extra-shift incentives, and bonuses.
