Clinical Laboratory Scientist III

Job Description

• Full-time, on-site Clinical Laboratory Scientist III/Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist role at Saint John Hospital in Leavenworth, KS, working an 8-hour day shift from either 8:00am–4:30pm or 9:00am–5:30pm.
• Perform and oversee manual and automated testing across Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Coagulation, Microbiology, Immunology, and other laboratory disciplines.
• Interpret results, identify abnormalities, maintain test accuracy, and support physicians' patient-care decisions through reliable laboratory data.
• Lead and mentor laboratory staff, train new employees, manage quality-control procedures, document corrective actions, and maintain laboratory equipment and records.
• Requires ASCP certification or equivalent, at least five years of hospital laboratory experience, a relevant bachelor's degree or CLIA-compliant education, and a current state license where required; $10,000 sign-on bonus may be available to qualified candidates.
