Clinical Laboratory Technologist - Parasitology

Job Description

• Perform routine and complex parasitology laboratory testing, specimen processing, and technical procedures under departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
• Monitor, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instrumentation; prepare and evaluate reagents and controls.
• Report accurate, timely results to support quality patient care and document preventative maintenance and quality control activities.
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology, plus 1+ year of clinical laboratory testing experience, or an MLS degree; non-traditional degrees may qualify if applicable science credits meet CLIA standards.
• Part-time PRN role in Chantilly, VA, paying $30.00-$40.00/hr; ASCP or AMT certification is preferred, along with high-volume laboratory experience and the ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.
