Job Description
• Perform routine and complex toxicology laboratory testing, including specimen acceptability review, instrument operation, troubleshooting, and result reporting.
• Prepare, test, and evaluate reagents or controls; perform preventative maintenance and quality control documentation.
• Maintain testing supplies, assist with specimen processing, and follow departmental Standard Operating Procedures and safe-work/PPE requirements.
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology; qualifying non-traditional degrees must meet CLIA standards.
• Preferred: 3 months or more of clinical laboratory testing experience and ASCP or AMT certification; new graduates are welcome and full training is provided.
• On-site Burlington, NC role with a Sunday-Thursday, 8:00pm-4:30am schedule; must be able to pass a standardized color blindness test and work overtime or other shifts as needed.
