Job Description
• Perform routine and complex clinical laboratory testing, evaluate specimens, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation, and follow departmental Standard Operating Procedures in Troy, MI.
• Report accurate and timely test results, perform preventive maintenance and quality control, prepare and evaluate reagents or controls, and maintain testing supplies.
• Work full-time on Shift 2, Monday–Friday, 5:30pm–2:00am, with rotating Saturday coverage from 12:30pm–9:00pm; work mode is not specified.
• Requires a bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology, plus 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience, or an MLS degree.
• ASCP or AMT certification is preferred; applicable non-traditional science degrees must meet CLIA standards, and candidates must pass a standardized color blindness test.
