Job Description
• Engineer custom AWS cloud solutions for line-of-business, scientific, and high performance computing (HPC) applications supporting the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) team in Rockville, MD.
• Design application topologies, guide secure cloud best practices, migrate on-premises products to AWS, and refactor monolithic applications into microservices or serverless workloads.
• Build and enhance CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, containerized, serverless, and HPC platform capabilities using AWS services, Terraform, CloudFormation, and related tools.
• Train researchers, developers, and product teams on AWS technologies and serve as an AWS Cloud Subject Matter Expert; 5+ years of related experience and 3+ years of AWS experience required.
• Remote role; commuting distance to Rockville, MD preferred; must be able to obtain a NIH Public Trust clearance; likely salary range is $123,250–$166,750.
