Job Description
• Actalent is hiring a Controls Specialist / Controls Technician - PLC Programmer for a fully onsite contract role in Ackerman, MS.
• Support multiple electrical systems and controls engineering projects, including field walk downs, start-up activities, layouts, and conceptual designs.
• Check field cables and wiring for safety and compliance, develop IO lists, and provide field support and control narrative markup.
• Prepare cost estimates across project sub-disciplines and collaborate with plant staff, design engineering staff, and vendors.
• Requires PLC programming, instrumentation, controls engineering, electrical systems, commissioning experience with 0-5 years in a related field, and familiarity with Ovation, Foxboro, ABB, or PLC platforms.
• Compensation is $32.00-$45.00/hr; contract position with an application deadline of Oct 7, 2026.
