Corrections Food Service Instructor - SCI Waymart

Job Description

• Full-time, on-site Corrections Food Service Instructor role with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania at the State Correctional Institution at Waymart in Waymart, PA.
• Lead inmate workers and teach food preparation, cooking, baking, sanitation, and safe kitchen operating practices.
• Manage food and supply ordering, receiving, storage, rotation, inventory control, and sanitation compliance.
• Evaluate inmate performance, maintain worker records, and enforce custody, control, and safety procedures.
• Requires two years of applicable large-scale or institutional food service experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and training; basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
• Full-time schedule is 40 hours per week, with shifts of 4:00 AM–12:00 PM or 11:00 AM–7:00 PM; starting salary is $49,010/year before taxes.
