Cybersecurity Advisor II

Job Description

• Remote, full-time Cybersecurity Advisor II role with Apollo Information Systems, offering $120,000–$160,000 per year.
• Advise clients across multi-month and multi-year engagements by developing cybersecurity strategies, prioritized roadmaps, governance programs, and measurable risk-reduction plans.
• Apply and operationalize NIST CSF 2.0, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, CMMC, HIPAA, or PCI DSS across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Lead executive- and board-level risk communication, manage long-term client relationships, partner with assessors and engineers, support incident readiness, and mentor junior staff.
• Requires cybersecurity experience in client-facing advisory, consulting, or security leadership; travel up to 65%; preferred certifications include CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or CISA; employees must complete a background check and obtain CJIS certification.
