Cybersecurity Engineer II

Job Description

• Full-time Cybersecurity Engineer II / Customer Security Analyst II role with Cox Enterprises’ Cox Automotive division; location is listed only as United States and work mode is not specified.
• Investigate and respond to account takeover, credential abuse, phishing, fraud, account compromise, and other customer-impacting threats; provide forensic and after-hours response support.
• Operate SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, threat intelligence, email and cloud security, IDS/IPS, Zero Trust, and log analytics technologies; use MITRE ATT&CK, kill chain, and diamond model frameworks.
• Build detections and protections, automate SOC and fraud processes with AI, maintain playbooks/metrics/documentation, and produce threat intelligence and fraud reports.
• Requires a related bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years of related experience, or an alternative combination including a master’s degree with up to 2 years’ experience or 14 years’ related experience; requires hands-on threat intelligence, incident response, security technology, cloud, digital forensics, query, and scripting experience.
