Demand Planner

Job Description

• Demand Planner with Safran Electronics & Defense in Rockford, IL, supporting the aerospace and defense electronics industry; work mode is not specified.
• Develop and publish a rolling 24-month demand forecast in units, dollars, and sales value for supply planning, capacity planning, inventory decisions, operating plans, and financial projections.
• Consolidate customer schedules, purchase orders, aircraft-rate assumptions, aftermarket requirements, and program risks into a controlled demand plan.
• Analyze historical demand, statistical forecasting algorithms, exceptions, variances, volatility, forecast accuracy, and bias to improve planning performance.
• Collaborate with Program Management, Customer Support, Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Procurement; mitigate material-shortage risks, improve on-time delivery, and reduce excess and obsolete inventory.
