Design Assistant, Dolce Vita Footwear - NYC

Job Description

• Design footwear products from initial concepts and color/material direction through samples and final product execution for Steve Madden’s Dolce Vita brand in the fashion/footwear industry.
• Create and update footwear CADs, colorways, technical specifications, design revisions, presentations, development packages, and sample tracking materials.
• Work in the NYC office 4 days onsite and 1 day remote while managing seasonal projects, materials, samples, shipments, and deadlines.
• Requires a degree in Footwear Design, Accessories Design, Fashion Design, or a related field; 1–2 years of design experience preferred, with relevant internships considered.
• Requires strong Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD, technical design, and Excel skills, plus strong visual judgment, organization, communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.
