Job Description
• Xcel Energy Distribution Grid Ops Engineering Intern role supporting Distribution Control Center and ADMS software in Denver, CO and Lubbock, TX.
• Perform model tuning, track non-communicating devices, assist with alarm limits, and support Grid Operations Engineering special projects.
• Conduct entry-level engineering analyst work using tools, programs, and databases for outage coordination, power flow studies, and power system monitoring.
• Current freshman-or-higher student enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering program; Electrical Engineering is preferred but not required.
• Hybrid, in-person role with some field visits; work up to 40 hours/week in summer and up to 20 hours/week during the school year; $23.10/hour, Internship, May 24, 2027 start.
