Job Description
• Assist senior inspectors with safety, mechanical, and electrical inspections of elevators, escalators, and related equipment in a regulated testing, inspection, and certification environment.
• Complete a 90–120 day DoD SkillBridge internship as an active-duty U.S. military service member in the final 180 days of service.
• Apply direct shipboard elevator maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and compliance-verification experience; relevant MOCs include 743B, 764A, 4296, 4671, 3302, 3699, and 761A.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and code requirements; document findings and prepare preliminary reports while following daily safety briefings and PPE requirements.
• Complete coursework and practice exams for the Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI) exam; high school diploma or equivalent required, with technical/vocational training preferred.
