Engineer - Flight Simulator

Job Description

• Staff Engineer responsible for designing, modifying, maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading flight simulators in United Airlines’ Flight Operations organization in Denver, CO.
• Requires either a related 2-year degree plus 5 years of Flight Simulator Technician experience, 5 years as a Simulator Engineer at a 121 or 142 operator, or a related 4-year B.S. degree.
• Performs software development, aircraft avionics and simulated-system installation, database and IOS updates, technical documentation, and hardware solutions for obsolete components.
• Supports FAA subjective and objective simulator evaluations and works under UAL’s FAA-approved SQMS program and 14 CFR Part 60; position is represented under the UA/IBT Technicians Agreement.
• Full-time, 24/7/365 operational environment requiring flexible shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and possible call-back for unplanned outages; starting rate is $50.77/hr and the role is bonus eligible.
