Environmental and Contractors Professional Underwriter

Job Description

• Underwrite and negotiate environmental liability accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability while managing an assigned book of business.
• Partner with agents, brokers, and internal stakeholders to provide new and renewal coverage for manufacturers, laboratories, colleges, and contractors.
• Develop and execute agency and region/group sales plans, identify cross-selling opportunities, and capture new business through consultative marketing and sales.
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree, 3–5 years of relevant underwriting experience including environmental liability, at least 2 years of qualifying insurance/finance-related experience, and a CPCU designation.
• New York, NY position with unspecified work mode; requires travel to in-person agent and broker meetings. Salary: $89,800.00–$148,300.00; anticipated application deadline: 01/04/27.
