Extruder Machine Operator - 2nd Shift

Job Description

• Operate, set up, monitor, clean, and maintain plastics extrusion machinery producing bubble-wrap film from resin.
• Load and verify resin, additives, and blends; adjust melt temperatures, pressures, bubble height, inflation, uniformity, and cooling systems.
• Troubleshoot bubble breaks, wrinkles, jams, poor clarity, and die lines; escalate higher-level mechanical issues through maintenance work orders.
• Maintain quality, safety, GMP, housekeeping, production reporting, schedule adherence, efficiency, and waste-reduction standards.
• Requires a high school diploma or GED, preferred packaging-industry experience, 1 year of cast-film extrusion experience, Vorne or similar production software experience, and certification/maintenance of a Pratt Lift Truck Operator License; must lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally push/pull up to 130 pounds, work overtime and occasional holidays.
