Financial Institution Intern (Risk Management)

Job Description

• Conduct insured financial institution examinations under the direction and supervision of an Examiner or higher-graded team member, with potential to perform assigned examination work independently.
• Review financial reports, internal controls, earnings, liquidity, capital accounts, fixed assets, depreciation, insurance coverage, and indemnity protection.
• Prepare audit checks, capital-ratio calculations, reconciliations, schedules, exhibits, comments, and other materials for examination reports.
• One-year paid internship beginning May 2027; successful completion may support noncompetitive conversion to Financial Institution Specialist (Risk Management), CG-570-7, with promotion potential to CG-13.
• Requires U.S. citizenship, NACI investigation, potential confidential financial disclosure, Selective Service registration when applicable, completion of FDIC agreements, two completed academic years, an eligible business/finance-related major, and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
