Geotechnical Design EIT

Job Description

• Entry-level Geotechnical Design Engineer in Training supporting major civil infrastructure projects in Nashville, TN; full-time position with work mode not specified.
• Assists senior engineers with geotechnical analyses, design calculations, two- and three-dimensional modeling, technical studies, reports, quantity estimates, and design reviews for embankments, slopes, bridge foundations, retaining structures, and minor-structure foundations.
• Supports subsurface investigations, drilling operations, boring plans, soil and rock logging/classification, strength testing, geophysical investigations, laboratory testing, and site reconnaissance.
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, Geological Engineering, or a related field; EIT certification or ability to obtain it is preferred, along with entry-level geotechnical or related experience.
• Preferred software familiarity includes Wincore, Plaxis 2D, RS2, SLOPE/W, SLIDE, gINT, APile, LPile, Geo Slope, Settle 3D, Unwedge, and Roclab; requires communication, coordination, problem-solving, attention to detail, integrity, and deadline management.
