Geotechnical Engineering Intern

Job Description

• Summer 2027 geotechnical engineering internship with ENGEO, focused on professional engineering consulting across office, field, and laboratory environments.
• Conduct field investigations, including logging borings and test pits, collecting samples, performing field tests, and assisting with cone penetration and geophysical testing.
• Observe foundations, ground improvement, shoring, grading, and other geotechnical construction; gain experience on large-scale construction projects.
• Support engineering design and analysis through drafting, calculations, cross-sections, lab programs, boring logs, report preparation, and client meetings.
• Spend up to one week in a soil laboratory in San Ramon, Lathrop, Rocklin, or Valencia; complete onsite training to become certified to operate a nuclear gauge. Compensation is estimated at $20-$25 per hour.
