GL Claims Specialist - Remote

Job Description

• Fully remote General Liability Claims Specialist role with Selective Insurance Company of America, handling claims throughout Selective’s footprint, with preferred experience in the Midwest and Western States.
• Own and manage a diverse portfolio of non-litigated commercial General Liability claims from initial report through resolution, including coverage, liability, damages, reserves, settlements, documentation, and payments.
• Investigate claims, evaluate exposures, negotiate settlements within delegated authority, coordinate with counsel and experts, identify recovery opportunities, and recognize potential fraud indicators.
• Requires strong communication, organization, analytical, negotiation, claim-resolution, judgment, and decision-making skills; proficiency with standard business software and claims management systems.
• Five or more years of commercial General Liability claims handling experience, a Bachelor’s degree, applicable state claims adjuster licensure, bodily injury claims experience, and relevant insurance training or designations are preferred. Salary: USD $83,000.00–$108,000.00/year; full-time.
